I grew up in California with loving parents who raised me to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I gave my life to Christ at a young age, though I wrestled with my faith throughout my teenage years. Thankfully, my home church taught me how to handle Scripture well and built a solid foundation.

College in San Francisco brought serious challenges to my faith—but it was also where God deepened my heart for people. As Paul told Timothy, God desires that all be saved. No one is beyond His grace. Amen to that.

Eventually, I got married and served in ministry at a local church in California. Soon after, my wife and I moved to Washington—somewhere completely new, with no friends or family nearby—to help plant a church. We were all-in on ministry, and it was during this season that our children were born. (Few things reveal your selfishness like parenting!)

We were preparing to plant another church when COVID hit. Everything shut down. No interaction. For an extrovert like me, it was brutal. That’s when I turned to the digital mission field. I launched a Twitch channel with some friends, aiming to “bridge the gap between gamers and the gospel.” We connected deeply with people online, formed lasting friendships, and even saw lives transformed by Christ.

After COVID, I accepted a call to pastor a church in Seattle. That transition pulled me away from online ministry for a time. But as I’ve settled in, built a team, and found my rhythm, I’ve been able to return to digital missions.

Many people are still hiding online—disconnected from church and searching for meaning. Some are gamers. I’ve helped several of them find and get plugged into local churches across the country.

The nonprofit DC4C (featured on my site) has many stories of people encountering the Gospel online—coming to faith, joining Christian communities, and even finding local churches.

“What Little I’ve Learned”

I have been putting together a VLOG on my YouTube channel with things that I have learned in being a pastor for the first time. Please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel.

“Spiritual Warzone”

These gentlemen that I got to know online were gracious enough to answer a few of my questions. I have come to know them as good friends over the past several months. I pray for them regularly and take the opportunities to invest in their lives, be there for them, and share Jesus.
